Energy Harvesting

Energy Harvesting: The process of capturing small amounts of low-grade heat that would otherwise be lost.

Energy is lost in almost every industrial process and technology, such as refrigeration systems. Nearly all water-cooled refrigeration systems use dry coolers or cooling towers to reject heat. The rejected heat, at approximately 30°C, is typically not used for any process.

How can we harvest waste heat?

Our industrial heat pump helps you harvest low-grade heat and convert it into useful heat. With our heat pump, you can recover 354 kW of heat and generate hot water at 80°C. The typical payback period for the system is about 3 years, with a heating COP of 3.17.
